Running an information stand
e.g. at a hospital or supermarket

Plan the day you would like to run a stand well in advance.  We know from experiences of other volunteers that it can sometimes take up to three months to get a booking, and they are sometimes left disappointed that they cannot have their preferred date.

Call up the venue and explain what it is you want to do.  They are normally very open, friendly, and happy to offer help and advice such as which day might be the best day to have a stand (e.g. when it is the busiest).

Have you got people who can help you?  Running a stand all day can be tiring and if you are able to share the work with a few others it will be easier, more fun and ensure you will be able to have a break.

We are unable to provide a table to place your information.  You could ask the venue if they can provide these for you. If not ask to see if you can borrow a trestle table and a few chairs.

Endometriosis UK can provide you with a range of information to place on your table and also a collecting tin. Once you have everything organised contact us and we will arrange for the leaflets to be sent out to you.

Finally, always seek permission before setting up a stand anywhere.
