Frequently asked questions

I am feeling very isolated and alone. What can I do?

Having endometriosis can make people feel very isolated, either because the symptoms have an affect on your social life and relationships or because you feel as though no-one around you understands. We have a free Helpline (0808 808 2227) which is staffed by trained volunteers who are there to listen and offer support and information. Please call if you feel you would like to talk to someone about endometriosis. If you feel isolated and would like to meet other women with endometriosis living in your area, please click here to find your nearest local group. We have a message forum on our website where you can leave messages and reply to messages left by other people. The message boards are used by lots of women with endometriosis and they may understand how you feel!

If you are feeling very low, and don’t feel as though you can speak to your family, friends or partner, please call the Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90 as they have trained volunteers who will be able to help you and are there to listen.
