MANIFESTO LAUNCHED ON 15TH NOVEMBER 2006

At an event at London’s Living Room that marked the end of the charity's 25th year, Endometriosis UK launched its new manifesto to reduce the inequalities surrounding the condition.

Robert Music, Chief Executive of Endometriosis UK, talked about the charity’s future plans. The manifesto was launched following the results from a recent Pain and Quality of Life survey which highlighted the many inequalities that surround endometriosis, despite the fact that it is so common. The key targets of the manifesto are that:

  • Every woman is aware of endometriosis, its symptoms, effects and treatment options
  • Health professionals understand what endometriosis is, its symptoms, effects and treatment options
  • Time to diagnosis is significantly reduced
  • Women with endometriosis have access to fast, appropriate treatment and care and support
  • Increased funds are available for endometriosis research
Over the coming months and years we will be developing projects and launching campaigns to realise our manifesto targets. Click here to read the Manifesto in full.
