About the Helpline service
Our free Helpline is a key part of our services for people whose lives are affected by endometriosis. The Helpline offers callers the opportunity to talk to a trained volunteer about their feelings and experiences. Anyone may call the helpline, whether they have endometriosis themselves or are a relative or friend of someone with endometriosis.
All calls are kept confidential and you do not have to give your name if you prefer not to. Our volunteers do not give medical information or advice, but can offer support at times when you may feel that you wish to talk through problems, situations or feelings with someone outside your immediate circle of family, friends or health care professionals.
Our volunteers are members of Endometriosis UK who are willing to offer themselves as supportive listeners over the telephone. They are usually patients or relatives of patients, therefore can offer a personal quality of understanding to those who call the helpline.
