What is the role of a message board moderator?
The message board is an important part of the charity's ability to provide information, support, sense of belonging and community to woman with endometriosis all over the country. Being a moderator is a very rewarding way to help others by using your knowledge of endometriosis and occasionally your own experience.
The main role will be to look at the messages on the board and make sure that every question is answered correctly, mindfully and without bias. In addition there should be not medical or legal opinion given. The role may also, from time to time, involve helping to solve a dispute between users of the message board.
We would ideally hope for a commitment of one day per fortnight, and would consider part shifts if this suited you better. You do not have to be logged in throughout the day but would need to check three times a day – morning, afternoon and evening – approximately three hours overall during the day.
